I cannot say enough about this “Devil’s Deal。” Intriguing, sexy, captivating, mysterious, enemies-to-lovers romance。 The historical aspects of the book were amazing。 I have spent many nights awake reading Aleatha’s books, and this one was no different。 I could not think about sleeping until the last page was read。 I think I held my breath through most of this book! I have been dying to read Aleatha's books, but just never had the time to。 This duet is the perfect start to many more。 I had no idea what to expect though but it hit absolutely beyond my expectation。 It is perfection from the first page until the last one。It's filled with amazing characters, Rett & Emma, who Aleatha really wrote very well。 Their story is dark, gritty, sexy, and very much suspenseful。 It was addictive you don’t want to put it down。 I can't wait for the next book。 This is already I have been dying to read Aleatha's books, but just never had the time to。 This duet is the perfect start to many more。 I had no idea what to expect though but it hit absolutely beyond my expectation。 It is perfection from the first page until the last one。It's filled with amazing characters, Rett & Emma, who Aleatha really wrote very well。 Their story is dark, gritty, sexy, and very much suspenseful。 It was addictive you don’t want to put it down。 I can't wait for the next book。 This is already a great start to a possibly epic story。 。。。more

*Before reading, go grab Fate’s Demand! It’s the prequel & I suggest reading it first。*EVERETT RAMSES IS MY FAVORITE DEVIL🥵I am such a sucker for books that give me stories in Louisiana。 Especially when they do right by the culture。 Add in a billionaire alpha who takes what he wants, what more could I have asked for? When a sexy as sin criminal head of NoLa tells you it’s either he keeps you safe or you die, you most definitely choose to give yourself over。 Right?

I totally recommend reading the prequel, Fates Demand, before staring the first part of the duet。 It’s not necessary but brings extra insight。 Emma has just learned what she thought to be the truth about her life isn’t and she’s determined to find answers but when she lands on Everett’s doorstep in New Orleans she has no idea how badly the devil can burn you。 Can’t wait for the second part of the duet

Emma is a young woman who's had her life turned upside down recently since all kinds of secrets are being revealed。 It leads to Everett, aka Rett, pretty much holding her like a prisoner under the guise of keeping her safe, but also telling her that he'll be the only to take her life。 Doesn't he sound like a barrel of laughs?! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of his at this point to be honest because I'm telling you, I would have found a way to take him out because of so many of his actions。 I do wish th Emma is a young woman who's had her life turned upside down recently since all kinds of secrets are being revealed。 It leads to Everett, aka Rett, pretty much holding her like a prisoner under the guise of keeping her safe, but also telling her that he'll be the only to take her life。 Doesn't he sound like a barrel of laughs?! After reading the prequel Fate’s Demand, I was really looking forward to Devil’d Deal。 I strongly advise you read this free novella before starting this book as it sets the scene nicely and is a good introduction to the dynamics between these two characters。 It is about Emma arriving in New Orleans and meeting Rett for the first time。 “Fate has destined our union。 It’s a deal for my city and for your life。 You may be an angel, but I’m the devil。”Emma’s life has been turned upside down since she After reading the prequel Fate’s Demand, I was really looking forward to Devil’d Deal。 I strongly advise you read this free novella before starting this book as it sets the scene nicely and is a good introduction to the dynamics between these two characters。 It is about Emma arriving in New Orleans and meeting Rett for the first time。 “Fate has destined our union。 It’s a deal for my city and for your life。 You may be an angel, but I’m the devil。”Emma’s life has been turned upside down since she arrived in New Orleans and met Everett Ramses。 He is enticing and attractive so she agrees to the deal he offers when he explains it is choose him or be killed。 He owns the city and wants her to be his queen because their agreement is what fate demands! He has rules and conditions of what he expects of her。 She finds herself very attracted to him and he becomes fascinated with her。 He wants her to go against her instincts to please him, be strong and be the woman who she was born to be。 Rett is very persuasive and confuses her by giving her a glimpse of a softer, nicer side compared to the dominant, controlled version。 The story is as complex as the characters and the author lulls you into a false sense of security。 I was sure that I had some idea what was going on, then very slowly the story got more involved and as things were revealed I found myself totally perplexed。 The author very cleverly drops hints every now and then that you will start to question all that previously happened。 I thought I had worked out who was good and who was bad, even though Rett had warned good can come from evil and bad can come from good。 “Never before had anyone had that effect。 Under his touch I was putty and Everett Ramses was the sculptor。”I loved Mrs Guidry and thought her character inspired。 She was so appropriate to both the story and to New Orleans with all its stories and folklore。 Her talking to the spirits of dead people was amusing but also started to sow the seeds of doubt over all the families involved。This is beautifully written, totally engrossing with fascinating characters。 The vibe of New Orleans really comes across and it is so atmospheric that you will feel you are in his house with her。 The description of the rooms was spot on especially his suite and office。 The steamy scenes are as hot as the city they are in as their relationship develops。There is so much mystery and intrigue surrounding the two families both now and in the past。We are left with so many questions。 Who is telling the truth and who isn’t? Who’s alive and who’s dead? Who has killed who? What has really happened over the last four years? Who is responsible for all that has happened? Is there still a rivalry between the families? I can’t wait to get all the answers in Angel’s Promise especially after the cliff hanger we are left with。 It is a brilliant ending with a great mix of romance and shocking revelations。 。。。more

3。5 starsThis is my second from by this author and it was and wasn’t what I expected。 After reading Consequences I knew there was going to be a big twist at the end。 Sadly I figured it out before I got to it。 So the ending wasn’t a big surprise to me。 I’m okay with the characters, I didn’t connect with them really。 Emma was to naïve for someone who was independent and in control of their own life。 Everett is more cold and mean rather than the devil。 He doesn’t do enough to call himself that。 All 3。5 starsThis is my second from by this author and it was and wasn’t what I expected。 After reading Consequences I knew there was going to be a big twist at the end。 Sadly I figured it out before I got to it。 So the ending wasn’t a big surprise to me。 I’m okay with the characters, I didn’t connect with them really。 Emma was to naïve for someone who was independent and in control of their own life。 Everett is more cold and mean rather than the devil。 He doesn’t do enough to call himself that。 All in all this book was tame compared to what I thought it would be。 。。。more

Get ready to dive into the intense and enticing mafia world of Devil's Deal! It is the perfect combination of mystery, suspense, and steam set in the culturally rich and decadent city of New Orleans! It completely consumed me! I have so many questions。 You are not ready for the hot, alpha billionaire, Everett "Rhett" Ramses, the King of New Orleans, and his queen, Emma O'Brien。 I'm dying to see what happens next in Angel's Promise!****ARC received in exchange for an honest review。**** Get ready to dive into the intense and enticing mafia world of Devil's Deal! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 So I read the prologue originally in the “One More Step anthology, and I instantly wanted more! Tropes: Mafia, forced proximityThis is a story about Emma and Rett。 Each part of a family that were in control of New Orleans at one time。 They were partners, but something happened to they’re partnership, and they didn’t want to rule New Orleans together anymore。 It order to bring the two family’s together, Rett sort of forces Emma into marring him。 To me this was more forced proximity then captivity So I read the prologue originally in the “One More Step anthology, and I instantly wanted more! I defiantly recommend this book。 Warning: This is the first book in a Duet (other then the prequel)。 So it does end on a cliff hanger, but to be honest, it ends at the perfect time。 。。。more
